Easy 30-Minute Pasta Salad
This easy, light and creamy pasta salad can be made in under 30 minutes and is sure to be a hit in your household!
The weather may be getting cooler but I still have a taste for my favorite cold dishes, such as this pasta salad – it is one of my favorite comfort foods to indulge in during the holidays. This 30-minute pasta salad is incredibly easy to make, tastes way better than the boxed stuff (I promise!) and only has 8 ingredients (half which are usually kitchen staples).
This recipe is inspired by Betty Crocker and the chain restaurant, Ruby Tuesday. I love Ruby Tuesday’s pasta salad and Betty Crocker’s boxed Ranch and Bacon Pasta Salad. I took elements of both variations and now make my pasta salad at home.
Even with ingredients like ranch dressing and mayonnaise, this pasta is creamy yet still very light. The pasta is coated with delicious flavor without looking and tasting like goop. This makes the pasta salad perfect as either a side dish or main entree.
Moving on to the flavorful additions, the dish contains ham and peas. Diced ham provides a ton of flavor while the peas add a mild taste with a nice bite. For a vegetarian option, you can omit the ham. This pasta salad can easily become a garden pasta salad by adding bell peppers, tomatoes and other veggies.
In just 30 minutes, you could have a tasty entree or the perfect side dish. This pasta salad pairs well with grilled meat (chicken and steak) and seafood (salmon and tilapia). Make this pasta salad for a quick, weeknight delight!
